Volunteer Opportunities
Regional Board and Catchment Area Council (CAC) members are volunteers.
Volunteer activities of the CAC and Board Members are:
- Attend regular meetings held monthly.
- Serve on teams evaluating state funded and state operated services.
- Gather information from clients, family members, and towns about mental health issues.
- Disseminate information to towns, media, and legislators about mental health issues.
- Advise the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services about their findings.
Other volunteer activities of the Board and CAC s include:
- public education
- advocacy
- stigma reduction
- fostering recovering
- monitoring budget decisions
- planning
- leadership training
